P. scopariella lebt an Besenginster ( Cytisus scoparius ), einer Pflanze, die am Misoxer Fundort zahlreich wächst. In unseren Nachbarländern ist diese Art in Deutschland, Italien und Frankreich bekannt geworden (Fauna Europaea).
