Habrocoris breviceps Wagner, 1951: 153 . = Zanchius stami van Doesburg, 1984: 27 View in CoL (syn. LINNAVUORI 1994: 71). = Zanchius iranicus Zheng & Liu, 1993: 18 View in CoL , syn. nov.

Material examined. GILAN: Sang Rud, 1 specimen, 29.-30.vii.2003. TEHRAN: near Karadj, 1 specimen, 13.- 14.vii.2002.

Comments. On Calotropis procera and also on Malvaceae such as Abutilon and Gossypium . Eastern parts of the Eremian subregion, extending to Crete and Cyprus in the north and the Sudanese subregion.

According to the original description ( ZHENG & LIU 1993), Z. iranicus is identical with Z. breviceps . Moreover, both taxa are known from the same area (Tehran province).
