Type locality: Uzbekistan: “Habitat in valle Sarafshan”, [One female was collected on the 9th of May 1869 at Zaravshan Valley].

Holotype, ♂ (not ♀): 9. <printed on pink label> // Заравш. дол [Zaravsh. Valley] <printed> // Chrysis kessleri Rad. <red label> // 9.V.1869 <handwritten by Antropov>.

Remarks. Bohart (in Kimsey & Bohart 1991: 428) designated the lectotype on this specimen. However, the type must be considered as the holotype because the species was described on a single specimen. It belongs to the C. succincta species-group.
