Calicnemia mortoni (Laidlaw, 1917) View in CoL
Calicnemia mortoni: Pritykina, 1992: 23 View in CoL (Tam Dao, Vinh Phuc Prov.) ; Do & Dang, 2007: 56, Distribution map (Tam Dao, Vinh Phuc Prov.); Kitagawa & Katatani, 2014: 85 –86, Figs. 38–44 (Tam Dao, Vietnam).
Notes. A group 2 species. C. mortoni View in CoL was published by Do & Dang (2007), who based themselves on Pritykina (1992) and later by Kitagawa & Katatani (2014), both from Tam Dao, northern Vietnam. However, neither of these authors provided illustrations of the genital ligula of specimens involved. We have examined several specimens from Tam Dao and identified these as C. haksik View in CoL (see above). The genital lobe of C. haksik View in CoL divides into two reflexed horns with blunt, square-shaped tips ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 C–D), but in C. mortoni View in CoL the genital lobe flares out (not reflexed) into rounded horns with a hooked tip ( Lieftinck 1977: p. 15, Figs. 1–2 View FIGURE 1 View FIGURE 2 ). Apart from this difference C. haksik View in CoL and C.
mortoni are very similar in appearance. Because details of the genital ligula had not been provided for the records of Vietnamese “ C. mortoni ”, we consider the occurrence of this species in Vietnam as doubtful. Distribution. Tam Dao National Park, Vinh Phuc Prov.
