DISTRIBUTION. — Widespread throughout the Indo-West Pacific and both sides of the Atlantic, known from the Solomon Islands and Fiji; 77-2055 m ( Galil 2000; Ahyong & Galil 2006); new record for PNG.
REMARKS As in specimens from Solomon Islands and Fiji ( Ahyong & Galil 2006), the present specimens of P. typhlops possess heavily granulated abdominal tergites.
