Diagnosis: This species can be distinguished from others by the very unique setal arrangement on tergite 5 – a strongly developed seta is present on the posterior margin of each dorsal spot. Its wings have dark smoky suffusions over the humeral crossvein and Sc­R 1. The frontal plates of the head are glossy, shining black. The hypopygial prominence is in the shape of a rounded knob.
