( Figs. 8I, 8J View FIGURE 8 , 40 View FIGURE 40 )

Diagnosis. This species differs from the other Steganina species in having the small body size (BL ranged from 2.33–2.85 mm in measured specimens) and the relatively light body color ( Fig. 8I, J View FIGURE 8 ); the aedeagal opening nearly triangular in ventral view, with thick pubescence ( Fig. 40B View FIGURE 40 ).

Description. Male and female: First flagellomere brown. Clypeus yellow. Mesonotum brownish yellow in male, brown medially, brownish laterally in female ( Fig. 8I View FIGURE 8 ). Katepisternum yellowish ( Fig. 8J View FIGURE 8 ). Scutellum brownish medially, brown laterally ( Fig. 8I View FIGURE 8 ). Halter mostly brownish ( Fig. 8J View FIGURE 8 ). Fore femur with a row of 3 strong setae on distal part of posteroventral surface. Abdominal tergites yellow to brownish in male ( Fig. 8I, J View FIGURE 8 ), brown in female; sternites brown, slightly wider than long. Male terminalia ( Fig. 40 View FIGURE 40 ): Epandrium with ca. 10 setae on dorsal to posterior portions per side ( Fig. 40A View FIGURE 40 ). Surstylus with 1 peg-like tooth and several setulae near distal margin, lacking pubescence ( Fig. 40A View FIGURE 40 ). Cercus lacking pubescence ( Fig. 40A View FIGURE 40 ). Hypandrium roundly expanded anteromedially ( Fig. 40B, C View FIGURE 40 ). Pregonite with 5 sensilla ( Fig. 40B, C View FIGURE 40 ). Aedeagal sheath distally dorsad curved and with several minute, serrated processes ( Fig. 40D, E View FIGURE 40 ). Subepandrial sclerite slightly vaulted ( Fig. 40F View FIGURE 40 ).
