KNOWN DISTRIBUTION. — Common and widespread species, reported from several countries of Europe, Africa, Asia, and from the United States. It is found on species of the genera Dyshirius and Dyschiriodes ( Coleoptera , Carabidae , Scaritini ) ( Santamaría & Pedersen 2021); the taxonomic position of the parasites occurring on Bledius ( Staphylinidae ), described as a different species ( Misgomyces lavagnei ), is still questioned.
