Specimens examined:

Holotype Ƥ. NKolbisson, UNREADABLE-III-66, Museum Paris, de Miré leg ( MNHN).

Length: 19.5mm (1 specimen).

Head: Black; wrinkled.

Antennae: Black; not reaching base of pronotum when laid alongside. Pronotum: Black; slightly dilated anteriorly, constricted towards base; middle of apex finely transversely wrinkled, surface anterior to transverse depression finely punctate and wrinkled, disc with a transverse line of white hairs; length:width ratio 1.6:1.

Scutellum: Black.

Elytra: Black; each elytron with a yellow transverse fascia beyond middle spanning from lateral to sutural margins; diameter of punctures larger than interstices, punctures within fasciae small and sparsely distributed, irregularly punctate behind fascia (punctures mostly elongate); length:width ratio 2.6:1. Legs: Black.

Lower surface: Black-brown to black.

Vestiture: Head, pronotal margins, elytral lateral margins, legs and lower surface with white hairs, pronotal and elytral disc with reddish hairs.

Distribution: Cameroon.

Etymology: D. nigrinus n. sp. is the only entirely black species of Diplocladus (aside from the elytral faciae).
