Laciniodes denigrata Warren View in CoL

( Fig. 46 View FIGURES 22–57 )

Laciniodes denigrata View in CoL : Beljaev & Mironov 2019: 268 (Sakhalin).

Material examined. 1 ♂, 1 ♀, Yasnomorskoe and Sokhonda mount., 18, 26.VII.2019 ; 1 ♀, Razdolnoe , 26.VII.2019 ; 4 ♂ ~ 2 km E of S Kholmsk , hills between Tatarka and Tyi rivers, 07, 17.VII.2020, O. Titova legit .

Distribution. Russia (S RFE: SW Sakhalin, S Kurils—Kunashir, S Khabarovskii Krai, S Amurskaya Oblast, Primorskii Krai), Japan (Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu), North Korea, South Korea, mainland China (NE, N, SW, Western Plateau), NE India.

Remarks. The finding of L. denigrata in Sakhalin significantly expands its distribution range to the northeast. In Japan the larvae feed on Prunus subgen. Cerasus ( Rosaceae ), of which only Prunus sachalinensis is natural for SW Sakhalin. The erroneous reference of L. denigrata for Mongolia ( Inoue 1977; Choi 2012; Enkhtur et al. 2020; and others) goes back to Prout (1938: 181), who indicated it, among other places, from “Kalgan, Mongolia ”, which is currently Zhangjiakou, Hebei, China.
