Pennithera comis (Butler) View in CoL
( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 22–57 )
Thera comis : Viidalepp 1977: 576 (Sakhalin); Beljaev & Mironov 2019: 263 (Sakhalin); Vasilenko & Dubatolov 2021: 258 (Yasnomorskoe).
Material examined. 1 ♂, 1 ♀, S Kholmsk, 16.IX.2017, 20.X.2022 .
Distribution. Russia (S RFE: S Sakhalin, S Khabarovskii Krai, Primorskii Krai), Japan (Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, Tsushima), South Korea,?SW China (Sichuan, Yunnan).
Remarks. We confirm the distribution of P. comis in Sakhalin. This species was referred from the island only once ( Viidalepp 1977), and was omitted in subsequent publications ( Viidalepp 1980; Viidalepp 1996; Mironov et al. 2008; Beljaev 2016). The host plants of the larvae are various Abies ( Pinaceae ). It is a late autumn species and flies from mid-September to mid-October. The distribution of P. comis in SW China needs to be confirmed.
