Idaea pallidata (Denis et Schiffermüller) View in CoL
( Fig. 56 View FIGURES 22–57 , 68a, 68b View FIGURES 63–68 )
Idaea pallidata View in CoL : Beljaev & Mironov 2019: 277 (Sakhalin).
Material examined. 2 ♂, Tymovskoe, 8.VI.2003.
Distribution. Russia (RFE: central Sakhalin, central Khabarovskii Krai, Amurskaya Oblast; S Yakutia, S and W Siberia, Urals, European Part, N Caucasus), NE China (Heilongjiang), Mongolia, Kazakhstan, N Kyrgyzstan, Transcaucasia, Turkey, Europe.
Remarks. The finding of I. pallidata in Sakhalin significantly expands its distribution range to the east. This meadow species, strictly boreal in East Palearctic, was found in the central Sakhalin in a zone of the spruce-fir forests dominance. In the Europe the larvae feed on the wilted leaves of various dicotyledonous herbs and low shrubs— Taraxacum , Hieracium , Achillea ( Asteraceae ), Vaccinium ( Ericaceae ), Valeriana ( Caprifoliaceae ), and Filipendula ( Rosaceae ).
