Subfamily Oenochrominae View in CoL View at ENA

Oenochrominae is a polyphyletic assemblage of geometrid species that has been tentatively divided into two groups. Oenochrominae sensu stricto includes the robustbodies members of the group that are mainly southern Australian in origin and include genera such as those described below. Oenochrominae sensu lato refers to a heterogeneous, cosmopolitan group of slenderbodied species that have been added to Oenochrominae on an ad hoc basis and are probably not closely related to their robustbodied congeners ( Scoble & Edwards 1990).
