Oviposition period: 2 Dec.–10 Feb.
Batch size: 3–40; (n = 4)
Realised fecundity: 3–40
Incubation time (days): 10–12
Batch configuration and attachment: Attached, in small clusters.
Colour: Dense yellow, glittering, becoming transparent grey on maturity (Fig. 773).
Size (mm) (n=17): L = 0.66 ± 0.01, W = 0.48 ± 0.01, T = 0.35 ± 0.00.
Width/length: 0.72
No. of females: 2
Aeropylar opening size (m) (n=7): L = 2.01 ± 0.15, W = 1.55 ± 0.12.
Relative aeropylar opening size: 3.1
Micropyles: Indistinct (Figs 774 & 775)
No. of openings: 5
No. of cells in rosette: 3
No. of rows of cells in micropylar area: 5
Shape: Narrow, elongated, compressed dorsoventrally with narrow flat lateral sides perpendicular to wide flat lateral sides (pillbox shaped), subellipsoid from top view, wedgeshaped laterally (Figs 773, 774, 776, 777 & 779).
Characteristics: Egg marked on all surfaces by flat, irregularly hexagonal cells with
narrow, slightly elevated walls giving a netted appearance (Figs 774, 776, 777, 779 & 780). Aeropyles inconspicuous, elevated, openings moderately small (Fig. 778), in two narrow bands encircling egg longitudinally along upper and lower edges of narrow lateral sides. Rosette cells slightly recessed (Fig. 775). Chorion generally smooth with shallow undulations on top of wide side and anterior pole (Fig. 780); much rougher, ridged, rather granular on lateral sides, around perimeter of egg (Figs 778 & 779).
