Shape: Narrow, elongated, sub­elliptical; anterior pole slightly truncated, polar profile sub­circular; dorso­ventrally flattened (Figs 421, 422, 424 & 425).

Characteristics: Egg marked all over by flat, hexagonal cells (Figs 424–426 & 428). Cell walls generally moderately broad, elevated, double­ridged (Figs 422, 424–428); micropylar cell walls narrow, cells slightly recessed (Figs 422 & 423). Aeropyles prominent, elevated, with large domes, openings very small (Fig. 427); present on all surfaces apart from middle of top of egg (Fig. 428). Chorion smooth, finely, sparsely wrinkled (Fig. 428).
