Scioglyptis Guest View in CoL (Figs 529–547)
This genus consists of six endemic described species and at least two undescribed species, which occur in southern Australia. Scioglyptis eggs are rather uniform in appearance. They are typically very narrow, elongated and bluntly ovoid. The egg surface is marked all over by concave, quadrate to elongated hexagonal cells with narrow to moderately broad elevated walls. The cells are regularly arranged in longitudinal rows. The micropylar cells are generally defined by narrow, finely reticulated walls. Aeropyles are elevated and domed, with very small openings and are usually present on all egg surfaces. Rosette cells are recessed and the chorion is densely blistered and granular in appearance. The type species and two undescribed species are illustrated .
