Shape: Narrow, elongated, bluntly ovoid, anterior pole truncated; flattened dorsoventrally (Figs 555, 556 & 558).

Characteristics: Chorion moderately soft. Egg distinctly marked on all surfaces by flat, elongated, quadrate cells with narrow, elevated walls arranged in longitudinal rows (Figs 555, 556, 558–560). Aeropyles elevated, openings moderately large (Fig. 559), present on all surfaces apart from top, wide side of egg (Fig. 560). Primary, secondary cells in micropylar area recessed (Fig. 557). Chorion shallowly wrinkled (Fig. 560), shallowly ridged on anterior pole (Fig. 557).
