Characteristics: Soft chorion. Egg distinctly marked on all surfaces by hexagonal, concave cells with moderately broad, elevated walls; walls of cells defined by aeropyles, doubleridged (Figs 604–610), micropylar cells overlain by a fine reticulum (Fig. 606). Aeropyles elevated, prominently domed, openings very small (Fig. 610), present on all surfaces apart from wider, lateral side (Fig. 608). Rosette cells recessed (Fig. 606). Chorion deeply pitted (Figs 608–610).
