Colour: Bluish­green (Fig. 596), becoming bluish­green with reddish­brown spots forming around lateral circumference, then transparent on maturity.

Shape: Moderately broad, sub­elliptical, anterior pole slightly truncated; dorsoventrally flattened (Figs 597, 599 & 600).

Characteristics: Soft chorion. Egg distinctly marked on all surfaces by hexagonal, concave cells with moderately broad, elevated walls, walls of cells defined by aeropyles, double­ridged (Figs 596, 597, 599–602), micropylar cells overlain by a fine reticulum (Figs 597 & 598). Aeropyles elevated, prominently domed, openings small (Figs 597, 598 & 602), present on all surfaces apart from wider, lateral side (Fig. 599). Rosette cells recessed (Fig. 598). Chorion deeply pitted (Figs 601–603).
