Shape: Moderately broad, subelliptical, anterior pole slightly truncated; dorsoventrally flattened (Figs 597, 599 & 600).
Characteristics: Soft chorion. Egg distinctly marked on all surfaces by hexagonal, concave cells with moderately broad, elevated walls, walls of cells defined by aeropyles, doubleridged (Figs 596, 597, 599–602), micropylar cells overlain by a fine reticulum (Figs 597 & 598). Aeropyles elevated, prominently domed, openings small (Figs 597, 598 & 602), present on all surfaces apart from wider, lateral side (Fig. 599). Rosette cells recessed (Fig. 598). Chorion deeply pitted (Figs 601–603).
