Shape: Narrow, elongated, bluntly ovoid; anterior pole truncated; flattened dorsoventrally; elongated (Figs 582, 583 & 585).

Characteristics: Soft chorion. Egg marked on all surfaces by conspicuous, concave, hexagonal cells with moderately broad, double­ridged walls (Figs 582, 585–588). Aeropyles elevated with large, irregularly shaped domes, openings small (Fig. 587), present on all surfaces except middle of top of egg (Fig. 586). Primary, secondary cells in micropylar area recessed (Fig. 584). Chorion coralline, mesh­like (Figs 586–588), smoother in micropylar area (Fig. 584).
