Shape: Narrow, elongated, bluntly elliptical; anterior pole slightly truncated, slightly wider than posterior pole, angled to horizontal axis, polar profile elliptical; dorsoventrally flattened (Figs 252, 253, 255 & 256), wedgeshaped in profile (Fig. 256).
Characteristics: Egg marked on all surfaces with hexagonal cells (Figs 254, 255–260). Cell walls narrow, recessed, floors convex in cells on and adjacent to narrow lateral sides and cells surrounding micropylar area (Figs 253, 255–258); cell walls moderately wide, cell form broadly rounded, cell floors concave on middle of top of egg (Figs 255, 259 & 260); micropylar cell walls narrow, shallowly reticulated (Fig. 254). Aeropyles slightly elevated, openings small, present on all surfaces except middle of top of egg (Figs 257 & 258). Chorion shallowly wrinkled (Fig. 260).
