Shape: Moderately broad, bluntly ovoid, anterior pole truncated, wider than posterior pole, slightly angled to horizontal axis, polar profile elliptical, dorsoventrally flattened, wedgeshaped in profile (Figs 269, 271 & 272).
Characteristics: Egg marked on all surfaces with hexagonal cells (Figs 271–275). Cell walls narrow, recessed, floors convex in cells on and adjacent to narrow lateral sides and cells surrounding micropylar area (Figs 271–273); cell walls moderately wide, cell form broadly rounded, cell floors concave in middle of top of egg (Figs 274 & 275); micropylar cell walls narrow, shallowly reticulated (Fig. 270). Aeropyles slightly elevated, openings small (Fig. 273), present on all surfaces except middle of top of egg (Figs 271, 275). Micropyles slightly offcentred (Fig. 269). Chorion shallowly wrinkled (Fig. 275).
