Shape: Moderately broad, bluntly ovoid, posterior pole subacute, wide; polar profile circular; wedgeshaped in profile (Figs 317, 318, 320 & 321); anterior pole truncated slightly angled to horizontal axis (Figs 317, 320 & 321).
Characteristics: Egg marked on all surfaces by slightly convex hexagonal cells (Figs 317, 320–322). Cell walls narrow, recessed (Fig. 319); on lateral side barely distinguishable (Fig. 322); micropylar cell walls narrow, slightly elevated (Fig. 319); primary and secondary cell walls recessed; cells in middle of top of egg slightly concave (Figs 317 & 320). Aeropyles irregularly shaped, unelevated, openings moderately small, inconspicuous (Fig. 322), present on all surfaces apart from middle of top of cell (Fig. 320). Micropyles slightly offcentred. Anterior pole circumscribed by raised rim (Fig. 318). Chorion rough, pitted, wrinkled (Fig. 322).
