Colour: Yellowish to bluish green, glittering, transparent on maturity (Fig. 1).

Shape: Moderately broad, bluntly ovoid, truncated anterior pole, dorso­ventrally flattened; anterior pole slightly angled to horizontal axis (Figs 4 & 5).

Characteristics: Egg marked on all surfaces by hexagonal, flat cells with narrow, recessed walls, cell walls on wider top side, barely discernible, not defined by aeropyles, micropylar cell walls narrow (Figs 2–6). Aeropyles slightly elevated, openings moderately small, present on all surfaces apart from wider, lateral side (Figs 4–6). Rosette, secondary cells recessed (Figs 2 & 3). Chorion with widely spaced ridges (Fig. 7).
