Colour: Very pale green, becoming burnt orange and red at poles, then transparent grey on maturity (Fig. 22).

Shape: Moderately broad, bluntly ovoid, truncated anterior pole, dorso­ventrally flattened (Figs 22, 23 & 25).

Characteristics: Egg marked on all surfaces by hexagonal, irregularly concave cells, cell form on wider top side, barely discernible (Figs 23 & 25), micropylar cell walls narrow, shallowly reticulated (Figs 23 & 24). Aeropyles very small, inconspicuous, present on lateral sides, poles; openings extremely small (Fig. 27). Chorion smooth, undulating (Figs 26 & 27).
