Shape: Broad, ovoid, anterior pole slightly truncated. Polar profile circular, not flattened dorsoventrally (Figs 50 & 52).
Characteristics: Egg marked all over by polygonal cells with concave floors and moderately broad and slightly elevated indistinct cell walls (Figs 50, 52 –54). Cells arranged regularly in longitudinal rows (Figs 52–54). Cells in micropylar area with narrowly reticulated walls (Figs 50 & 51). Aeropyles elevated, domed, openings very large; visible on all egg surfaces (Figs 50–54). Chorion relatively smooth, but undulating (Figs 54 & 55).
