Subfamily Leptofoeninae Handlirsch

Diagnosis. Head subcubic with parascrobal crests; inner eye margins not conspicuously diverging; mesosoma, metasoma and ovipositor extremely elongate; wings with postmarginal vein longer than marginal vein, extending to apex of wing and short, sessile stigmal vein; petiole elongate, at least twice as long as wide, laterally with a row of long setae.

Diagnosis. Body shiny metallic; pronotum smooth laterally; basal tarsomeres only about as long as or shorter than second tarsomeres of respective tarsi; female with metasomal tergite 9 mobile and elongate.
