Distribution: Japan, Korea, Taiwan. [2a].

Hosts: Polyphagous, attacking both gymnosperm and angiosperm trees ( Murayama 1953).

Taxonomy: Listed under Xyleborus in Wood and Bright (1992), but transferred to Microperus by Hulcr et al. (2007a).
