Hosts: Usually breeds in various species of Pinus (Pinaceae) , but also in other conifers including Tsuga (Pinaceae) , Chamaecyparis (Cupressaceae) and Cryptomeria (Taxodiaceae) (Nobuchi 1974). Recorded from Pinus luchuensis in Taiwan by Murayama (1934).
