Thamnurgides cyperi Beeson, 1929: 230 View in CoL .

Distribution: Probably originally an Oriental species, but now almost circumtropical. New to Taiwan. [6] New records: Nantou, Huison, 29.iv.2007 (L. Y. Liu) (1); Pingtung, Shantimen, 1–5.iii.1982 (K. C. Chan, C. C. Pan) (1).

Hosts: Polyphagous, attacking a wide variety of angiosperms ( Wood & Bright 1992).

Biology: Beeson (1939), Roberts (1976) and Wood (2007) give information on the biology of the species, which breeds both in seeds, petioles of fallen leaves ( Jordal & Kirkendall 1998), and under bark.
