7. Antidesma hainanensis Merr.

(Euphorbiaceae) in Philipp. J. Sci. 21(4): 347. 1922. TYPE:— CHINA. Hainan: Wuzhishan, Five Finger Mt. (i.e. Wuzhi Shan), alt. 700 m, 20 December 1921, F. A. McClure 2113 (i.e. Canton Christian College Herbarium 8702) (syntype: PNH, destroyed, A 00045626 image!, A 00045627 image!).

McClure 8702 was the only gathering cited in the protologue of the name Antidesma hainanensis Merr. ( Merrill, 1922a) . However, the collecting number on the label of the syntype specimen ( A 00045626 ) exists in A is 2113, while the herbarium number is Canton Christian College Herbarium 8702. Thus, the collecting number cited in the protologue is to be corrected.
