(Apocynaceae) in Philipp. J. Sci. 23(3): 262. 1923. TYPE:— CHINA. Hainan: Ka La, 20 April 1922, F. A. McClure 2625 (i.e. Canton Christian College Herbarium 9183) (syntype: PNH, destroyed, A 00078803 image!, A 00135010 image!, ECON 00135009 About ECON image!).
McClure 9183 was the only gathering cited in the protologue of the name Kopsia lancibracteolata Merr. ( Merrill, 1923) . However, the collecting number on the labels of the syntype specimens is 2625, while the herbarium number is Canton Christian College Herbarium 9183. Thus, the collecting number cited in the protologue is to be corrected.
