Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula: Kuwait ( Al-Houty 1989, 1997 both as Batazonellus lacerticida ).

Extralimital distribution: Palaearctic from Portugal to Japan and Sweden to Iran, Morocco, Tunisia ( Ghahari et al. 2014).

Remarks: Although this species has recently been included in the genus Parabatozonus Yasumatsu, 1936 in two recent country-limited catalogues ( Loktionov & Lelej 2017a, b), we prefer to retain it in Batozonellus pending more detailed analysis.
