C o m m e n t: This adventive species was originally described from Guadeloupe (Caribbean). In Europe, it has been reported only from Italy, where it was first observed in the vicinity of Vicenca in 1982 and is now known from numerous localities, including Sardinia and Sicily (DE MARZO & ZANETTI 2007). The above specimens represent the first records from Spain and the Iberian Peninsula, suggesting that the species is probably widespread in the Western Mediterranean today.
