Sinopodisma orchofemura sp. nov.

Holotype: ♀, Taiwan Sozan, 1936-VII-19, leg. unknown.
Location of type specimen: Holotype, ♀, the Institute of Entomology , Taiwan University, Taibei, Taiwan, China .
Female: Body robust. The width of frontal ridge between antennae equal the minimun distance between two eyes in vertex. Vertical diameter of eyes 1.5 times horizontal diameter and 1.4 times subocular furrow. Antennae 23 segmented, length of joint 2.9 times width in the middle part. The prozona is 1.8 times metazoan in length. Hind margin of pronotum with hollow slightly in the middle. Prosternal process conical, apex slender. Tegmina almost reaching the hind margin of second abdominal tergite, length 2.0 times its maximum width. The length of interspace of mesosternum larger than narrowest. Length of the hind femur as long as 4.1 times of maximum width. Hind tibia with 10 spines on inner and 9 spines on outer sides, external apical spine absent. Epiproct shield shaped, base with longitudinal groove in middle. Subgenital plate as long as ovipositor valves ventral view, hind margin acute in the middle. Cercus short-conical, not reaching the end of epiproct. Ovipositor valve thick, hooked in the end, lower valve shorter than upper valve slightly.
Body yellowish brown. Antennae yellowish brown. Eye brown. Black postocular band not extending to the end of abdomen. Tegmina brown. Hind femur yellow, knee black. Hind tibiae and hind tarsus yellowish brown.
Male unknown.
Measurement (in mm). Length of body: ♀ 26.9. Length of tegmina: ♀ 5.7. Length of pronotum: ♀ 6.4. Length of hind femur: ♀ 17.4.

Diagnosis. The new species Sinopodisma orchofemura sp. nov. is similar to Sinopodisma kodamae ( Shiraki, 1910) . The major differences are listed in Table 1.
Etymology. The name is combination of orcho- in Latin meaning hind femur of new species is yellow.
