Description of Clostridium aurantibutyricum CBA View in CoL 7522
Cells are obligate anaerobic, Gram-stain-positive, non-pigmented, and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, convex, and entire after incubation for four days on DSMZ medium No. 311c at 25℃. Positive for glucose fermentation, esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase, and β -galactosidase activity. Negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, arginine dihydrolase, and urease. Utilizes D- glucose and D- mannose. Does not utilize L- arabinose, D- mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, potassium gluconate, D- maltose, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid. Strain CBA7522 (= NNIBR2019644BA22) was isolated from a sediment sample, Jinan-gun, Jeollabuk-do, Korea.
