Treatment

Note: In my former publication of Cerceris of the Subsaharan region (DOLLFUSS 2020) I recorded 10 ♀♀ and 22♂♂ from Mali. These specimens were determinated by K. M. Guichard 1992 as: Cerceris capito LEPELETIER = spinipectus SMITH. Probably Guichard means C. capito and C. spinipectus are synonym. K. SCHMIDT (2000: 97) wrote: "Die Männchen von C. spinipectus and C. capito sind morphologisch nicht sicher zu trennen". I am also of the opinion that these two species should be synonymized.
