Glipodes sericans (Melsheimer, 1846)
Larvae were found in rotten oak ( Quercus L.; Fagaceae ) logs, dead for three years, in North Carolina and reared to adulthood ( Savely 1939). Investigations of gut contents or feces determined that it was feeding on the rotten wood ( Savely 1939).
