Type species: Xestophrys javanicus Redtenbacher (= javanicus javanicus ).
Diagnosis: Xestophrys Redtenbacher, 1891 differs from other related genera in the presence of closed notch between the fastigium of vertex and the frons; elongated, triangularly rounded fastigium of vertex; male cerci with a single tooth apically and ovipositor strongly widened apically.
