20. Hecalus wallengrenii View in CoL India: Chhattisgarh Stål, 1870 Mizoram and West Bengal
Discussion
While working on the collection of the Hemiptera from Dampa Tiger Reserve, two species of the genus Hecalus namely H. fascialis Distant, 1918 and H. wallengrenii Stål, 1870 were found to be recorded for the first time from Mizoram are treated here. In world, a total of 81 species of genus Hecalus have been recorded till now, of which 20 species have been have been recorded from India. Among these, H. lefroyi Distant, 1908 ; H. paykulli (Stål, 1854) ; H. prasinus (Matsumura, 1905) ; H. umballensis Distant, 1908 and H. wallengreenii Stål, 1870 are known from other biogeographical regions. But for rest of the species no recorded data is available for any region other than India. The species recorded mainly from the Northern part and Eastern ghats of India. Very less work has been recorded from the regions of Himalayan, North East zone, Western ghats and Indian Islands show the gap area of the distribution of the species. The findings of such
