REMARKS. The history of the synonymy and status of the species is discussed in Sanborn & Heath (2014) and reviewed above. The heavy infuscation in the fore wings mainly ochraceous venation with piceous anal veins 2 and 3 in the hind wings, basal areas of the wings gray mottled with blue, and the fore wing length to width ratio of 3.04 distinguishes this species from A. insignifera n. comb. that has very light infuscation on fore wings, mainly green venation including the anal veins 2 and 3 in the hind wing and the intense blue basal areas of the wings, and the fore wing length to width ratio of 3.13 in A. insignifera n. comb.

The Bolivian specimen supports the separate status for A. venturii n. comb. and A. signata n. comb. When compared to the syntypes of A. signata n. comb., the fore wing infuscation extends across ulnar cell 3 and does not reach the node along the nodal line, there is no spot of infuscation of the proximal base of cubitus anterior 1, the bifurcation of cubitus anterior 1 and cubitus anterior 2 forms an acute angle rather than a right angle, cubitus anterior 1 is slightly arched at its formation continuing as a smooth curve to the distal vein rather than an obvious arch and obtuse angle near the base of cubitus anterior 1, the distal infuscation is denser, the lateral pronotal collar is wider and more angulate, the prothoracic and mesothoracic markings are more elaborate, the cruciform elevation is green rather than piceous, the fuscous dorsal tergites, and the female opercula are smoothly rounded in A. venturii n. comb.

DISTRIBUTION. The new record fills the gap in the previously reported distribution of Argentina and Peru ( Metcalf 1963a; Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2013; Sanborn & Heath 2014).
