REMARKS. The large proportion of black on the head and mesothorax along with the transverse black fascia on the anterior pronotal collar are unique to the species within the genus ( Sanborn 2016c). The species has been associated with the Chaco floristic province in Argentina ( Sanborn et al. 2011a; Sanborn & Heath 2014).
DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Paraguay ( Metcalf 1963a; Sanborn 2011b; 2013; 2016c; Sanborn & Heath 2014).
