Taxonomy: The type specimen of Xyleborus todo was not located. The very detailed description and figures, and Kono’s (1938) notes on its biological habits were examined. All were conspecific to the morphology ( Blandford 1894; Niisima 1909) and habits ( Niisima 1909; Murayama 1955; Mandelshtam 2006) reported for X. seriatus . Xyleborus todo is here placed in synonymy.
