Material examined. Holotype: ♀, Yangriwan, Shenlongjia , Hubei, 1988.vii.28, Zhang Liqin . Paratype: 1♀, Muyup- ing, Shenlongjia , Hubei, 1988.viii.6, Zhang Liqin ; 1♀, Honghua, Shenlongjia , Hubei, 1988.viii.2, Zhang Liqin ; 1♀, Honghua, Shenlongjia , Hubei, 1988.viii.2, Yang Jianquan ; 1♀, Yangriwan, Shenlongjia , Hubei, 1988.vii.27, Yang Jianquan ; 1♀, Muyuping, Shenlongjia , Hubei, 1988.viii.5, Huang Juchang ; 1♂, Yangriwan, Shenlongjia , Hubei, 1988.vii.28, Huang Juchang .

Description. Female. Body length 1.7–1.9 mm, fore wing length 2.1–2.3 mm.

Head. In dorsal view, 1.9 × as wide as long and 1.0 × as that of mesoscutum. Ocelli in a high triangle, imaginary tangent of posterior margin of anterior ocellus distant from posterior ocelli, POL: OD: OOL= 6: 3: 7. Frons and vertex scattered with small punctate and fine short setae; vertex narrowed behind eyes, area behind ocellar area smooth and shiny, without setae; temple and gena weakly punctate and shiny, with dense setae. Subcircular in anterior view, with antennal sockets high above middle level of eyes; face slightly convex, finely micro-punctate associated with long sparsely pilosity; inner margin of eyes straight to moderately emarginate adjacent to antennal sockets; eyes pilose. Antenna longer than body (21: 15); flagellomeres thin, with bristly setosity, all flagellomeres with placodes arranged regularly in 2 ranks. Flagellomere proportion: 2 L/W = 2.6, 8 L/W = 2.5, 14 L/W = 1.3, L 2/14 = 2.0, W 2/14 = 1.2. F12-15 tightly connected.

Mesosoma. Mesoscutum densely and evenly punctate and setose; notauli indistinct; scutellum also densely punctate with sparsely long setae all over; scutellar sulcus extremely narrow. Propodeum highly polished, virtually without sculpture except for a narrow and high medial longitudinal carina and weak transverse ridges in immediate vicinity of longitudinal carina and lateral margin, with strong rugae distal to spiracle.

Wings. Fore wing without areolet, vein r slightly oblique and emitted from middle of pterostigma; r and 2-SR meeting at a 165~170° angle; 2-SR: r: width of pterostigma = 9: 8: 9; vein 1-R1 1.4–1.45 × as long as pterostigma and 5.1 × distance from the apex of 1-R1 to apex of marginal cell, pterostigma 2.1 × as long as wide. 1-CU1: 2-CU1: m-cu= 11: 11: 9. Hind wing narrow, vein cu-a incurved.

Legs. Hind coxa small, slightly longer than T1, shiny, weakly punctate, scattered with short setae. Hind tibia gradually swollen apically and 0.85–0.9 × as long as hind tarsus; inner hind tibial spurs almost as long as outer one, 0.2–-0.33 × as long as hind basitarsus. Hind tibia with few spines on outer side, rather fine and not dense enough to give the tibia a markedly prickly appearance.

Metasoma. T1 2.2–2.3 × as long as wide, almost parallel on both sides but weakly constricted at middle and apical, basal half smooth with strong medial longitudinal groove and apical half arch. T2 + T3 broad, rectangular and obviously wider than T1(9: 5), slightly constricted near the suture between T2 + T3, length of T2 0.6 × its basal width and 1.5 × as long as T3 (3: 2), the median area of T2 indistinct. T2 + T3 and apical half of T1 almost completely covered with finely-textured and dense aciculo-rimulose sculpture. Tergites posterior to T3 more membranous, shiny. All tergites scattered with setae. Ovipositor sheath short, 0.3 × as long as hind basitarsus, hairy only on the apical half. Hypopygium short, strongly and evenly sclerotized.

Colour. Body mostly fusco-testaceous. Antenna brown; maxillary palp, labial palp lateral metasoma and legs yellow, except hind coxa brownish-red, apical half of hind tibia most of hind tarsus and apex of metasoma fawn. Pterostigma and most veins pale yellow brown.

Male. Hind femora and back of tibiae fawn.

Host. Unknown.

Etymology. The species name is derived from the collecting place: Shenlongjia.

Distribution. China (Hubei).

Remarks. This species is similar to the D. bifossalis Zeng & Chen , but can be distinguished from it by having head 1.9 × as wide as long in dorsal view (vs. 1.6 × as wide as long in dorsal view), pterostigma 2.1 × as long as wide (vs. 2.5 × as long as wide); ovipositor sheath 0.3 × as long as hind basitarsus (vs. 0.7 × as long as hind basitarsus). This species is also similar to D. jilinensis , sp. nov.; for the main points of distinction between them see remarks of the D. jilinensis , sp. nov. above.
