COMMENTS: Mayr gave the AMNH number of the holotype in the original description and the range as the Manua Islands of Ofu, Olosega and Tau. Paratypes are: Olosega (= Olosinga , as on label), AMNH 202227–202249 View Materials , 11 males, 11 females, 1 sex?, 31 December 1923 – 7 January 1924 ; Ofu Island , AMNH 202253–202266 View Materials , nine males, five females, 7–9 January 1924 ; Tau Island , AMNH 202267–202276 View Materials , 202278– 202313 View Materials , 224288 View Materials , 25 males, 22 females, 14–29 December 1923.
