TYPE MATERIAL — Holotype, ♂, Indonesia. New Guinea, Neth , Cyclops Mts, Ifar, 300m, 21.VI.1959, T. C. Maa, Coll, Bishop Museum ( BPBM).

DESCRIPTION — MALE: Body length 1.9 mm. Head dark castaneous; mesosoma and metasoma castaneous. Head (Figure 85). Mandible with three apical teeth. Clypeus with median lobe ill-defined; median tooth rounded; median carina distinctly incomplete apically and convex in profile. Frons weakly coriaceous. Mesosoma. Pronotal disc with anterior margin ecarinate, weakly coriaceous. Metapectal-propodeal complex with lateral and posterior areas ecarinate. Metasoma (Figure 179). Tergal process absent. Hypopygium (Figure 270) with median stalk evenly narrow, 1.3 x as long as hypopygial plate; lateral stalk triangular; posterior margin straight or nearly so and with median elevation. Genitalia (Figures 532-533). Aedeagal dorsal body with apex lower than parameral apex, wider medially, narrowing progressively apicad; apex with small and digitiform projection on ventral region. Aedeagal ventral ramus with apex lower than aedeagal dorsal body apex; apical region subquadrate with digitiform inner projections. Genital ring slightly produced, each half straight in dorsal view.

ETYMOLOGY — The noun in apposition tisa means teacher in Tok Pisin.
