TYPE MATERIAL — Holotype, ♂, Papua New Guinea. New Guinea, NE, Morobe District, Ulap, 800-1100 m, IX.1968, W. A. Steffan & Y. M. Huang Collectors, Bishop ( BPBM).

DESCRIPTION — MALE: Body length 2.6 mm. Head and mesosoma dark castaneous; metasoma castaneous. Head (Figure 75). Mandible with four apical teeth. Clypeus with median lobe subtrapezoidal; median tooth truncate; median carina absent. Frons strongly coriaceous. Mesosoma. Pronotal disc with anterior margin coarse, strongly coriaceous. Metapectal-propodeal complex with lateral and posterior areas ecarinate. Metasoma (Figure 169). Tergal process without depressions, without setae; with small tubercle evenly wide in longitudinal section, low, entirely laterad, with small pit on top, with small few setae anterad. Hypopygium lost. Genitalia (Figures 503-504). Basal margin of paramere with subangled projection. Aedeagal dorsal body with apex lower than parameral apex, wider medially, narrowing progressively apicad. Aedeagal ventral ramus with apex higher than aedeagal dorsal body apex; apical region rounded, narrow and smooth. Genital ring produced, each half convex in dorsal view.

FEMALE: Unknown.

ETYMOLOGY — The noun in apposition sno means fog in Tok Pisin.
