Type material: Holotype: male, Mt. Jingfengling (18°44.415′N, 108°51.802′E, alt. 819 m), Ledong County, Hainan, China, 16 May 2011, leg. Yuanye Zhou. Paratypes: 2 males, 2 females (IZCAS), same data as holotype.
Etymology. The specific name refers to the type locality; adjective.
Diagnosis. Male distinguished from other species as follows: from C. acris sp. nov. by the blunt apex of compound teminal apophysis ( Figs 32 View FIGURES 32 – 35 , 38, 39 View FIGURES 36 – 39 ; sharp in C. acris sp. nov., Figs 1 View FIGURES 1 – 2 , 5 View FIGURES 3 – 6 ); from C. gracilis sp. nov. by the shorter and wider embolus, and the shape of tegular apophysis ( Figs 32 View FIGURES 32 – 35 , 38, 39 View FIGURES 36 – 39 ; rectangular in C. gracilis sp. nov., Figs 19 View FIGURES 19 – 22 , 25, 26 View FIGURES 23 – 26 ); from C. setifera sp. nov. and C. liaoi (Peng & Li, 2006) by the relatively long embolus ( Figs 32 View FIGURES 32 – 35 , 38, 39 View FIGURES 36 – 39 ; 64, 70; 45, 49); from other species by the shape of median apophysis. Female differs from other species by having sclerotized copulatory ducts, which are wide in diameter and connected to a triangular sclerite ( Figs 34, 35 View FIGURES 32 – 35 , 40, 41 View FIGURES 40 – 44 ).
Description. Male ( Figs 32, 33 View FIGURES 32 – 35 , 36–39 View FIGURES 36 – 39 , 42 View FIGURES 40 – 44 ): Total length 1.8, PL 1.1, PW 0.9, OL 0.7, OW 0.6. Eye sizes: AME 0.25, ALE 0.2, PME 0.04, PLE 0.15, AER 0.9, PER 0.8, EFL 0.55. Legs: I 2.05 (0.6, 0.3, 0.5, 0.4, 0.25), II 1.75 (0.5, 0.25, 0.4, 0.35, 0.25), III 1.7 (0.5, 0.25, 0.35, 0.35, 0.25), IV 2.4 (0.8, 0.3, 0.6, 0.4, 0.3); formula: 4123.
Dorsal prosoma brown, with dark sides, clothed brown and white setae. Clypeus height 0.05, Clypeus gray brown, covered with light brown setae. Fovea, cervicle and radial grooves unclear. Chelicerae small and yellow, with two promarginal teeth, retromargin with three teeth. Endites, labium and sternum yellow. Leg I and II with black segments. Metatarsus I with three pairs of ventral spines. Opisthosoma cylindrical, yellowish brown, with three pairs of pale yellow spots, anterior and posterior margins covered with long brown setae; ventral opisthosoma yellow. Spinnerets yellow, anterior spinnerets shorter and stronger than posterior ones. Palp ( Figs 32, 33 View FIGURES 32 – 35 , 36–39 View FIGURES 36 – 39 ): Embolus relatively long and convoluted, originating from the median part of the bulbus. Compound terminal apophysis with blunt apex. Tegular apophysis with one pointed apophysis in ventral view. Median apophysis axeshaped in ventral view.
Female ( Figs 34, 35 View FIGURES 32 – 35 , 40, 41, 43, 44 View FIGURES 40 – 44 ): Total length 2.1, PL 1.1, PW 1.0, OL 1.0, OW 0.9. Eye sizes: AME 0.3, ALE 0.2, PME 0.05, PLE 0.2, AER 1.0, PER 0.85, EFL 0.6. Legs: I 2.2 (0.7, 0.35, 0.45, 0.45, 0.25), II 1.9 (0.55, 0.25, 0.4, 0.4, 0.3), III 1.85 (0.55, 0.25, 0.4, 0.4, 0.25), IV 2.75 (0.9, 0.35, 0.7, 0.5, 0.3); formula: 4123.
Opisthosoma oval, yellow, with three pairs of black spots, following one black latitudinal stripe. Other characters similar to those of male. Epigyne ( Figs 34 View FIGURES 32 – 35 , 40 View FIGURES 40 – 44 ): weakly sclerotized, with a bottom groove leading to the copulatory openings. Vulva ( Figs 35 View FIGURES 32 – 35 , 41 View FIGURES 40 – 44 ): Copulatory ducts twisted and folded, merged and extending towards the groove. Spermathecae oblong, connected to a triangular sclerite.
Distribution. The species is known only from the type locality ( Fig. 258 View FIGURE 258 ).
