Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. luxuriivora Terada, 2012 in appearance and in the features of the male genitalia. It can be distinguished by the forewing lacking a distal brown patch; in the male genitalia by the sub-rectangular cucullus uniformly wide to obtuse apex and the aedeagus with numerous spicules ranging from basal 2/5 to 4/5; in the female genitalia by the crescent signum located close to the posterior margin the corpus bursae and a bulla at distal 1/4. In S. luxuriivora , the forewing has a brown distal patch; the oval cucullus is gradually narrowed to apex and the aedeagus lacks spicules; the bar-shaped signum is located at middle and the bulla is absent ( Terada 2016, P. 44, 197, Figs 51–54 View FIGURES 46‒51 View FIGURES 52‒56 , III-3).

Description. Adult ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 20‒26 ). Wingspan 11.5‒14.0 mm. Head with frons silvery white; vertex ochreous yellow; occiput dark brown. Labial palpus silvery white on inner surface, second segment pale yellow on outer surface, third segment ochreous yellow on outer surface. Antenna ochreous yellow; flagellum yellow annulated with light brown in distal half. Collar dark brown; thorax yellow, dark brown posteromedially; tegula yellow except brown at base. Forewing yellow; costal margin dark brown along basal 3/4, with a small yellow spot at base; first dark brown fascia near base, its outer margin obliquely outward; second dark brown fascia from basal 1/4 of costal margin obliquely outward to basal 2/5 of dorsal margin; dorsal margin with a semi-oval spot at basal 2/3, obliquely outward, reaching outer margin of cell anteriorly, joined with second fascia by a slender dark brown streak on dorsal margin; fringe grey. Hindwing and fringe brown. Legs ochreous yellow dorsally, cream white ventrally; foreleg with tibia blackish brown on outer surface, tarsus blackish brown at apex of each tarsomere; midleg with tibia blackish brown at base on dorsal surface, with pale yellowish brown bristles at middle and apex, tarsus blackish brown at apex; hindleg with tibia annulated with blackish brown and bearing long pale ochreous yellow bristles at basal 1/3, 2/3 and apex respectively, middle and distal spurs ochreous yellow, tarsus blackish brown and with ochreous yellow bristles at apices of basal two tarsomeres, blackish brown at apex. Abdomen yellowish brown on dorsal surface, greyish white on ventral surface.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 49 View FIGURES 46‒51 ). Uncus narrowed from base to basal 3/4, distal 1/4 slender, pointed at apex. Gnathos wide at base, narrowed to apex, with a small pointed process apically. Tegumen with height 1.5 times length of uncus. Valva almost uniformly broad before cucullus; cucullus sub-rectangular, length twice of maximum width, uniformly wide to obtuse apex; inner process spine-shaped; costa convex triangularly; sacculus 7/10 length of valva, nearly straight on ventral margin, apex rounded, free from valva, exceeding ventral corner of cucullus. Vinculum narrowly banded; saccus rounded anteriorly. Juxta oval; anellar lobes conical, about same length as juxta, with short setae. Aedeagus 1.3 times length of valva, with a sclerite at basal 1/4, with numerous spicules ranging from basal 2/5 to 4/5; basal 2/3 almost uniform in width, distal 1/3 gradually narrowed; distal process clubbed, 1/3 length of aedeagus.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 69 View FIGURES 67‒71 ). Intersegmental membrane between papillae anales and eighth abdominal segment twice length of papillae anales. Apophyses posteriores 1.5 times length of apophyses anteriores. Eighth segment straight on posterior margin, with long setae; eighth tergite straight on anterior margin; eighth sternite triangularly produced anteriorly. Antrum sub-rectangular, slightly concave on posterior margin, concave in wide V-shape on an- terior margin. Ductus bursae almost uniform, 2/3 length of corpus bursae. Corpus bursae elliptical; signum located close to posterior margin, crescent in shape, length half of median width of corpus bursae, with a sclerotized ridge, with sparse microspines in surrounding area. Appendix bursae originating from transition of ductus bursae and corpus bursae; bulla rounded, at distal 1/4; ductus seminalis with dense granules distally.

Distribution. China (Fujian, Hainan, Tianjin, Yunnan); Sri Lanka ( Kasy 1973: 271).
