Type material. CHINA, Yunnan: Holotype ♂, Laiyanghe, Pu’er, 26.VIII.2009, leg. XC Du, slide No. GW 13008.
Diagnosis. The new species can be distinguished from its congeners by the lingulate gnathos with a longitudinal pleat, the elongate triangular valva without distinct cucullus, and the aedeagus with a elongate rectangular distal process. It is similar to S. sphaeroidea sp. nov. in the forewing pattern, and the differences between them are stated in the diagnosis of the preceding species.

Foreleg yellowish brown, tibia blackish brown in basal half and at apex dorsally, tarsus blackish brown at apex of each segment; midleg yellowish white, tibia blackish brown in basal half and at apex, with yellowish white bristles at middle and apex, tarsus black at apex; hindleg pale yellow, tibia blackish brown and bearing blackish brown bristles at middle and apex, tarsus with long blackish brown bristles at apices of basal three tarsomeres, blackish brown in distal half of first tarsomere, on second and third tarsomeres, silvery white in fourth and fifth tarsomeres. Abdomen greyish black on dorsal surface; white on ventral surface.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 44 View FIGURES 39‒45 ). Uncus sub-triangular, wide at base, narrowed basal 3/4, distal 1/4 distinctly narrowed, beak-shaped in lateral view. Gnathos lingulate, with a longitudinal pleat mediodistally. Tegumen with height 1.4 times length of uncus. Valva elongate triangular, wide at base, narrowed to rounded apex; costa straight, slightly convex at middle; inner process slender, clubbed; sacculus reaching beyond middle of valva, slightly concave at middle on ventral margin. Vinculum narrowly banded; sacuss sub-trapezoidal, 1/4 length of uncus, with a pair of longitudinal pleats at middle. Juxta oval; anellar lobes leaf-shaped, pointed at apex. Aedeagus about same length as valva, tapered from base to apex, with a sclerotized plate and numerous spicules near base; distal process elongate rectangular, half length of aedeagus; cornutus absent.
